Relax a Little
12:00 pm mst
Relax a Little
It's December 31 so, of course, I'm
reviewing the past year and making plans for the upcoming year. I think that my 2014 goals will be less extensive than my
2013 goals. I need to relax a bit about how much I try to get done. After years of accomplishing some, but not all, of my
annual goals, then feeling badly about my lack of achievement, perhaps it's time to learn that I just don't get everything
done. Well, that's a relief. Look at that. Maybe my 2014 goals can be a little less lofty in terms of production, and
a little more lofty in terms of life itself. Instead of trying to write a second book in 2013 and making little progress,
perhaps I can let go of that one for 2014 and, instead, work on living the lessons I share with others on this blog: more
forgiveness, more gratitude, more joy, more fun.
Anyone else with me? Less personal pressure
and more fun? Allowing the Universe more time to work its magic?
Sounds lovely, but I'm not
giving up entirely. If I spend 2014 just finishing up the items I have left from my 2013 list, I will still have plenty to
do. And if I throw in a trip or two and continue to make dinner and run a household, life will be pretty full. Is it possible
to be okay with being less productive?
Anyone else planning on doing less and being more in 2014?

Let your Lights Shine
8:34 pm mst
This message was channeled by a friend a few weeks ago. I want to share it with you:
"Let your lights shine. Each of you have your gifts and abilities and that is what makes you the needed ingredient
on Mother Earth. When you realize that you came to be that little bit of bitter, you came to be that little bit of sweet,
you came to be that binding, you came to be what makes it flexible, you came to be the beautiful brown crust, everything serves
its purpose. It all comes together in the whole, and it is all for the greatest good. You are playing your part. You are doing
it well and you could do none other. So therefore, love and honor yourself for being you. Don't try to be more like so-and-so,
because you are not made of so-and-so's element, nor did you come to serve on that level at this time. That removes guilt,
finger-pointing and blaming, and sets all free. We are all on one level, according to how much we let ourselves resonate."

The Value of Direct Experience
10:35 am mst
The Value of Direct Experience
I am in the midst of a lovely
holiday season. Since Thanksgiving, I have gone from party to party catching up with friends and neighbors. A few days ago,
I had an interesting chat with a woman who I had met many times, but who was suddenly curious about my work with psychics.
I am guessing that this woman is in her seventies.
What piqued her curiosity about my work? This
woman knew the spouses of several people who had died. Her friends had reported the same odd phenomenon to her: prior to the
passing of their spouses, the spouses had suddenly begun talking to their deceased relatives. They could communicate with
loved ones who had crossed over. How was this possible?
This woman and her friends had been unaware
that people who are close to death sometimes talk with deceased friends and relatives. I wish I could tell you how common
this experience is, but I have no data. What I can tell you is that the direct experience of hearing a loved one talk to people
on the other side, can completely change a person's perspective on life. Well, at least, it can prompt them to ask, "What
the heck is happening?"
I have also read about the phenomenon of "terminal lucidity":
the astonishing clarity of mind that often comes to demented elderly people just before they pass on.
woman with whom I was speaking had never believed in anything other than evidential science. However, hearing the same kind
of incident reported from several friends had opened her curiosity about the larger world in which we live.
We all have questions. We all have partial answers. When we learn to recognize our direct experiences of psychic
phenomena and synchronicity, we can ask more-sophisticated questions and we each can begin our own Psychic Search.

Annoying People and Situations
12:06 pm mst
Thank you to everyone who responded to my blog post about dealing with annoying people. Who knew that there
were so many of us thinking about these issues?
One thing I have realized is that I need to separate
the annoying people into groups. We all know annoying co-workers and casual acquaintances. We can come up with strategies
to deal with (or avoid) these folks.
Then, there are annoying relatives who we can't
Then, there are the long-term, frustrating situations which we find ourselves in. In this
case, the people might be annoying, or the situation might be annoying (a huge distinction).
am mulling over the responses I received and will write more on this topic. I guess the major thing I discovered is that I
am not the only person dealing with annoying people and situations. It's too bad that other people are also dealing with
these issues, and it's good to know I am not alone.
If you have ideas regarding this topic,
please send them to me. I am particularly interested in how to think about these situations from a metaphysical perspective.
In the meantime, enjoy the holidays!

How can we deal with annoying people?
2:26 pm mst
Real Life Relationships
Most of the time I write about inspirational
things I have heard or experienced. Today, I want to ask for clarity from any of you who can help me reconcile something I
recently heard. It's a perspective which I can sort of understand intellectually, but I can't imagine how to apply.
I understand that we are here on earth with other people so that we can teach them and learn
from them. I understand that we may have had negative experiences with people in past lives and that during this lifetime,
we may need to re-balance karma with them. I also understand that what we do in this present lifetime, creates new karma which
can be positive or negative. Somehow, we have to interact with people who we may not enjoy spending time with because we have
karmic obligations to work things out.
Then, I hear from psychics that we each create our own
path and that if we don't like how things are going, we can choose a new path. They say, "It's easy to create
a new path." Okay, I can see how if we are alone, we could just leave our current lives, get in our cars and strike out
for somewhere new. Maybe we don't need to leave physically. Maybe we just need to find a new job, a new school, or a new
attitude. But what about our relationships with the people who are already in our lives? How can we no longer be involved
with people who need us, but who don't inspire us? Can we cut off people, or does that incur negative karma?
Now, let me tell you what I heard during a recent channeling:
with those who love you and who you love. Those that annoy you, wait till next life. Choose your life and make it joyous in
everything you do, and with everyone you come in contact with. Don't feel obligated because of past history. Don't
feel obligated because of relationships. On the other side of the veil, there is never anything to forgive. We all understand.
When one crosses over . . . . all Spirit understands that this is just a play, it is just a game. There are no hard feelings
on the other side. Nothing to forgive. Let that settle on your hearts. Let that be a way of life, for it brings a lot of joy.
There are no regrets."
This passage sounds great, but how can we release these obligations
"of past history" and "relationships"? How can we create lives of joy when we are bound to people here
on earth who we would normally choose not to have in our lives? There may be no need for apology on the other side, but what
about karma? How do we know that we are not creating negative karma when we dismiss people from our lives? More practically,
can we leave people just hanging out there if we move on?
Solutions I have heard: "Find
the joy in the people who you don't care for." For me, easier said than done. "See the G-d in them, for we are
all one." Trying, but easier said than done. "Let go of your resistance to the person. Stop hoping they will change.
You can only change yourself." If they can't change, and we don't understand how to change ourselves, how can
we change the situation? "Send them Light and Love." Done and done. (Yet, I am still annoyed -- "Let it go.")
How do you reconcile karma, choosing only joy, and the duty to help people in need (even if they annoy us)? Any suggestions?
You can e-mail them to me at gail@MyPsychicSearch.com.
P.S. As I was writing and editing this piece, I received several
answers. Let me mull them over. Perhaps I will share them on the next blog, along with your wise insights.

Messages from the Deceased

Quote from a Psychic
On Sunday, I pulled a name for the chakra-balancing
pendant drawing. And the winner is . . . . Chris F.! Congratulations Chris!
If you want to give
an interesting gift, a whole variety of chakra-balancing pendants can be found on the Jewelry page. Let me know what you want and I'll pop it in the mail. If you are mailing outside of the U.S., send an e-mail to
me so we can figure out much the postage will cost.
I want to remind each of you that from now
until the end of the year, I will donate $1 to the Humane Society for each copy sold of "My Psychic Search" book.
Now, on to today's Quote from a Psychic. I have heard this message multiple
times and I want to share it with you. When people cross to the other side, they see an expanded view of our world and why
we are here. They see the interplay of people. However, they need time on the other side to heal. They retain their personalities
but, after a while, their personalities begin to dissolve. In the meantime, it's important to listen to messages from
our deceased friends and relatives, but not to take them too seriously.
Aitreyia told me:
"I always say, ‘I don't want dead Uncle Fred guiding me.' Dead aunts and uncles are great, but
if they haven't cleaned themselves up after crossing over, they are going to give you what they think you need to hear.
If you've had a bad day, they'll say, "Let's have a drink." On the other hand, an angel might suggest
you look at the day, see what you learned from it, and think about what you might do differently the next time. You get totally
different guidance from dead relatives than you might get from angels or Master Spirit Guides. I talk with all of them. Some
grandmas can be very opinionated. I'll relay the messages, but sometimes the Guides have to pull these people back because
they are so opinionated and what they are bringing forth is not useful to the client."

December as a Jumping Off Point
11:06 am mst
December can be a Jumping Off Point for January
I heard several
interesting ideas the other night and I want to ponder them on today's blog. My thoughts are combined with, and reflect,
these channeled messages.
This time of year, most of us are filled with love and joy. We extend
our generosity to the world. Life is good. Hectic, but good. Think of all of the blessings of this time of year: the extra
excitement, the joy of giving and receiving, and the creative cookies. This season presents the opportunity to connect with
people whom we may not have seen in a while. We have the chance to share our love, joy, and enthusiasm for life.
When we open our hearts to share, to give and to receive, we raise our vibration. The more we lift ourselves, the
more we lift others around us. As we bless everything, we are blessed. As we give, we receive. But it's important to give
without expecting to receive so that unknown blessings can return to us.
We can use this season
of generosity to set our baseline of open-heartedness for 2014. We can allow this contented feeling to be the foundation on
which we build our lives. Let's use this season of giving as a jumping off point for 2014.
the fun of the holidays, we often flip the calendar to January, turn off the spigot and look for ways to limit ourselves:
"Oh, I won't spend so much money this year." "Oh, I'll limit the amount of food I eat and lose those
10 pounds." When we are thinking of ways to improve the quality of our lives, these limits can be good but, sometimes,
they are just self-imposed ways to play smaller in the world. We spend a lot of energy limiting ourselves.
This January, instead of punishing ourselves for our perceived over indulgences by dieting and by following routines
which we don't enjoy, let's expand our lives with happiness and generosity. Let's set our intentions based on
what we want to achieve in terms of experience. If we want to hike the Grand Canyon, maybe that's the reason to get in
shape. Not going to the gym as a punishment for prior over indulgences, but going to the gym so that we can bring more fun
and excitement into our lives.
Remember, each person is here looking for their own experience.
With free will, we have choices. Whatever direction or path our life is taking, is our choice. We can take the high road or
the low road. Go left or go right. There is always something new to explore. No matter which way we go, it's an adventure.
It's exhilarating to our soul to seek out, create, and manifest our wildest desires.
the path of least resistance to get where you want to go. Focus on that and, once you get there, you may find that you are
ready for a different adventure. At that time, you can create a new path; pick another direction. Focus on your choices and
nothing else can affect you. You are never imprisoned. Your mind is free, your will is free, your soul is free. Feel the joy.
We are here to experience manifesting and co-creating with Source. We are here to experience
life on this beautiful planet just for fun; to experience the freedom of doing and being whatever we want.
Enjoy this time of year when people have open hearts. Open hearts are a creative force. Let's use the energy
and the openness of this season to build momentum and then to keep it going. What a wonderful life. Roll your happiness into
a bright and beautiful new year. Create your future your way. Shine your light, keep it going, and watch as life gets better
P.S. This Sunday, I'll be attending SpiritsChild's Psychic Fair. It runs from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Assisting the Dying
11:50 am mst
Assisting the Dying
"Thank you!" to the folks who
came to Sunday's book talk at Mostly Books. It was a small group, but we had a great time sharing our
experiences with each other. When you peel back the layers, you see that we share common experiences. During car accidents,
we all wonder if we have been protected by relatives from the other side. At the time of death, we all wonder if our ability
to release our need to hang onto the dying person allows them to leave peacefully. Today's quote from a psychic channeling
event addresses this experience. This is part of the wise message which was brought through by Leah Taylor and Anneo. It is
included in Chapter 17 of My Psychic Search book.
How can people deal with loved ones who are dying?
"If any of you has had somebody who is standing on the brink between life and death and you love them and you
don't know what to do, you don't know how to bless this situation to make the passage easier for them because it so
painful for you, the best thing you can do is to surround them with Light. Have your tears for a day or two. Let yourself
feel that sadness, feel that grief that they are leaving, but try to give them the space to do what they need to do.
"When we are sad and we are around somebody who is between the worlds, our sadness gives them a situation where
they are going to need to come back and comfort the people they love. It is important to let people go. We know that. We all
know that. I am sure you hear that in the spiritual world, in the metaphysical community, that you release people when they
are ready to go and when they need to go. But a lot of times we can't practice that because the sadness comes in and,
when our faith is tested at that point, we forget some of the metaphysical principles that we learned before: that it is okay
to go. It is okay on the other side. It's okay to pass. It's human for that to be one of the biggest fears people
have. You spend your lives trying to find a way to be okay with dying, but when it is close to you, you get scared and you
tend to forget what you have learned. Instead of going into the fear, instead of letting yourself go into the sadness, try
to remember the principles that you have learned, the love that you have learned. Then, you can extend that love instead of
extending the sadness and the grief.
"A lot of times, as someone is leaving their body
and going to the other side, they will feel that they need to come back to tell everybody that it is okay on the other side.
They will try to get back in their bodies. They think, ‘I'm just going to tell them it's okay and then I am
really going to go,' and then they end up being in the flesh again and going through more of the disease process; or the
death process takes longer. We need to be able to say, ‘It's okay. It is okay there. We know. You can go . . '
That's part of the reason why, as humans, it's so wonderful to have glimpses of the other side so you can see that
it is okay. These glimpses give you faith because you know from personal experience, because you remember, because you have
touched that in Spirit or in meditation. Instead of forgetting all of these wonderful principles that you have learned along
the way, you can go back to that moment of faith. It is important to streamline yourself and your belief system, and to release
the fears that you hold onto."
That quote changed my perspective on how to deal with people
who are at the end of their physical life. It touched me deeply and I hope it helps you too.
Note: I'll be drawing a name for a chakra-balancing pendant winner on Sunday. If you want to have your name
in the drawing, send your name and e-mail address to gail@MyPsychicSearch.com. In addition to putting your name in the drawing, I'll add your name to the e-mail list so you receive an e-mail each
week to let you know what is on the blog.

Asking Questions, Getting Answers
10:56 am mst
Does asking a Question give the Psychic an Answer?
of weeks ago I presented a Book Talk, and someone in the audience asked me an interesting question. I had
told the group that I had originally gone to a psychic when I was in my 20s because I wanted to know if I was ever going to
meet a man, get married, and have a family. The woman in the audience asked me if I felt that psychics give us the answers
we want to hear by listening to the questions we ask? For example, by asking the psychic if I was going to marry, the psychic
would know I wanted to get married and would say, "Yes. He's on his way."
Yes. I think she's right. Here are a couple of expanded answers to that question:
by asking the question, the psychic can know the quick answer off the top of her head. Yes or no? Pretty easy for anyone,
psychic or not, to give us an answer if their only goal is to tell us what we want to hear. What about the detail of the
Second, by asking the psychic a question, we open the energy which allows them
to give a fuller answer. So, in addition to saying, "Yes, he's on his way." She can say (in my case), "Oh,
he's coming soon. He'll disagree with you about wanting children, yet you will have two children of the same sex."
Twenty-five years later, I can tell you that this woman was correct.
When we ask, "Should
I look for a new job?" It opens the energy for the psychic to see if we need to start looking and if there are opportunities
awaiting us; or to see that we are just bored with the job we already have and need to find a way to make our current job
Cecilia Nemmers, a Psychic, said, "If you want to know about something
specific, ask about it specifically. When you ask a question, it opens your energy and then you are allowing someone to give
you an answer."
Third, some psychics don't want you to ask questions before
they give readings. They do what they call "open readings." Before you ask questions, they check in with your Guides
and tell you what your Guides want you to know. No possible clues for the answers.
all of the people who attended November's Book Talk. We had a great discussion. This Sunday, December 8,
I'll be doing another Book Talk. This is one is at Mostly Books, 6208 E. Speedway in
Tucson, AZ. It's on the southwest corner of Speedway and Wilmot. The Book Talk starts at 1 p.m. and should last about
an hour. Of course, there will be plenty of time for you to ask questions and share your experiences.
In addition, tomorrow, Friday, December 6, I'll be set up at Marana's First Friday
Art Fair on the corner of River Road and Thornydale Road. It will be a cold day in Tucson so I'm not sure how
long the outdoor fair will last. The Fair is scheduled from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. If you're in the area, please stop by.
I'll have lots of wonderful Wild Girl! gifts for your friends, and I'll also be selling My Psychic Search book which makes a lovely gift for your friends, and can be a special treat for you.
Do you have any questions about psychics which you would like me to answer on the blog? Send your questions to gail@MyPsychicSearch.com.

My Psychic Readings
10:44 am mst
My Psychic Readings
I had two fascinating,
completely different, readings at Sunday's Psychic Fair. I wasn't set up at the Fair, I just went to get readings.
Anyone can do this.
My first reading was with Lynda who does Theta Healing. I had never before
tried this. She uses muscle testing to understand our core beliefs, then she clears the core beliefs which are not working
for us, and replaces them with more valuable beliefs. While doing this work, she uses her intuition to understand our issues.
In my case, she said to me many things which I had heard and felt during my early childhood which formed who I am today, and
the issues I am working on this lifetime. So interesting. How was she able to get all the information, and all of the associated
heaviness, about my childhood situation?
After our session, I sat in a chair in the lobby for
about 45 minutes, feeling the energy still pulsing though me. Whatever we did was resetting the energy in my body and, hopefully,
clearing these old issues.
I will write more about this amazing experience after I've had
time to think about what happened and to review the results.
My second reading was with Margarita.
This was a much more straight-forward reading where I asked her about this Project and what I should do with all of the information
I've gathered. I wrote the book, I write the blogs, I want people to understand the beauty in this information. It's
more than information, it's a life perspective.
I want my readers to comprehend the depth
and clarity of all I have heard. How do I do this? Margarita gave me ideas for moving "laterally," more book talks,
teach a class, etc. She pulled Tarot cards and gave me advice. In the next year, you will see some of the things she shared
with me playing out in my world.
This is what happens when I go to psychic fairs as a client.
This is the magic. Really, it's magical. You can do this too. Anytime. Find a psychic and give it a try.
